Mixed Age Classes (0 – 5) with Adults
Music Together® classes are unusual in that they mix ages birth through four (except in our special age classes). Because the activities focus on adult/child interaction rather than child/child interaction, children of different ages (such as siblings) can enjoy class together.
Children participate at their own level in classes of mixed ages by singing, moving, chanting, listening and exploring musical instruments. Adults, regardless of their own musical ability, find it fun and easy to help create a musical community that supports any child in achieving basic music competence.

Intergenerational Classes (0 – 5) with Adults and Seniors from Providence ElderPlace
Music Together® of Portland introduces our new intergenerational classes this winter 2011 term.
Are you lonely for Grandma or Grandpa? Come join us for an intergenerational music making experience with your child and the seniors of Providence ElderPlace at Irvington Village!
Music Together of Portland will be offering Tuesday morning classes at 9 am
& at 10:15 am with the senior residents at Providence ElderPlace in Irvington Village. We invite you to join us in this opportunity for your child to interact with seniors in a joyous and inclusive environment and create a rich music making community with participants infants to 100+ years!
Parents and children sit together in our usual music making circle surrounded by senior residents. The Music Together teacher will encourage interaction between all ages in the room and design the class so that children, parents and seniors can participate together as a music making community.
Grab the chance to make a difference in someone's life - the seniors as well as yours and your child! To register, go to the registration tab above or
