Discover an innovative, research based approach to early childhood music education!
First offered to the public in 1987, Music Together pioneered the concept of a research-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum that strongly emphasizes and facilitates adult involvement.
Now being taught internationally to thousands of children and their families, the program began as an educational project of the Center for Music and Young Children (CMYC) located in Princeton, New Jersey. Founded in 1985 by Kenneth Guilmartin, CMYC is committed to helping families, caregivers, and early childhood professionals rediscover the pleasure and value of informal, non-performance oriented musical experiences, especially during the early childhood years.
Music Together of Portland LLC was established by Mary Beth Camp
and Bonnie Singer in the fall of 1998. Starting with 23 families,
it now has nearly 1100 children and their families each semester
singing and dancing up a storm in 6 locations throughout the metro
Portland area!
